Day 388! WOW

Long time no see! I think I got my days muddled a bit but time for an update!!

I’ve been a busy bee and been off having lots of fun times

17. Paddled in the sea – did this in Thailand, also had a little swim

19. Play a sport I hadn’t played before – went snorkelling in Thailand, which was eventful so think that counts!!

31. Professional bikini wax – got this done before Thailand. OUCH.

33. Worn false eyelashes – done this on a few occasions since I’d last posted. At least 2 to be on the safe side!

36. Drank new cocktails – did a lot of this on holidays too, photos confirm same

37. 3 fab baths – had one in the Merchant!

60. Visit somewhere outside Europe – went to Thailand (Bangkok and Koh Samui)

71. Go to beaches I hadn’t been to before – Chaweng beach and 2 on the Anthong National PArk trip in Thailand

75. Eat in/out of new places in NI – Mmm done lots of this Ramore, Shenanigans, random place at J1, 3 new Indians in Craine, 2 Pizza Expresses… probably lots more!

78. Picnic – Parentals bought me a picnic basket for my Birthday and we had an in car picnic on a windy beach

79. Travelled on a boat – again Thailand. Eventful :O

82. Travelled on a plane – 6 of them for the Thai trip!

Day 253 – Time Flies!

Long time, no see! I’ve been kept pretty busy for the last wee while between one job coming to a nasty end and starting a new one. Real life just gets in the way eh?

Some small progress has been made…

No. 44
New food I have discovered is pesto – more specifically my new found love for red/tomato pesto. Mmmm with but more importantly just with yummy bread, I LOVE it. It is playing havoc with my new low carb diet though so I’m back on the wagon this week.

Also Milka bars (especially Milka Daim) and Galaxy Bubbles have been a revelation but I don’t think I can really get away with counting them here!

I have been entering quite a few GMTV/This Morning style competitions, ever hopefull I will win a life changing sum but alas no joy yet. I also entered a nail varnish competition so I think I can mark this off the list!

Hello! I’m not sure if anyone else is still following me on this but I’m still trying my best to plod along. My laptop “shit itself” as hubby would say so I’ve lost all my links to the other 101 blogs so feel free to comment and add yours so I can build my bookmarks back up again. I’ve taken on some new work and still trying to chase payment for part of my old. Money has been a nightmare and I’ve been building up debt while waiting to get paid but hopefully there is some light at the end of that twisty turny tunnel! And I have a new laptop to play with. God bless credit cards

I doubt if I have done 7 days in a row yet but have definitely done 5 or 6. At the minute we are having a takeaway most Friday evenings and then maybe another over the weekend which for us is amazing. We have been known to have 5 or 6 in a week sometimes in the past so this is progress! Honestly!!

I wore falsies again on Saturday though probably have a few other times and I forgot to note them. I used the good old Eylure Naturalites or whatever they are called. Love ‘em!

I might change this one actually. I have set up a blog where I am listing my favourite recipes. I have also added some photos there so this might replace my book idea… The blog isn’t much to look at but it’s more a resource for me so I’m happy enough with it.

I have pressed the button and the bonnet popped up but I couldn’t do the catch to lift it properly. I’m going to attempt it all by myself soon, so watch this space (exciting innit?!)

Rather dully I’ve entered some GMTV competitions and a This Morning one, so I’ll just add another 1 for that. Slightly more excitingly I have entered the Illamasqua Nail Polish comp though so fingers crossed for that one (being careful not to smudge the polish, obv).

After a funeral a couple of weeks ago, husband and I ate in a new local cafe. Very not fancy but nice enough all the same and another tick off the old list.

This keeping up with what day I’m on is really difficult!

January was a bit of a crappy month to be honest but he ended well so hopefully that’s a sign for the year ahead.

I have a bit of a secret which might help with tasks No. 7 (sandcastle), No. 16 (jump into swimming pool), No. 17 (paddle in the sea), No. 22 (song lyric in the sand), No. 27 (fabulous spa), No. 31 (bikini wax), No. 36 (new cocktails), No. 44 (new foods), No. 60 (visit outside Europe), No. 71 (visit new beaches), No. 79 (travel on a boat) and No. 82 (travel on a plane). And maybe more (probably scuppering any chance of No. 101 in the process)

Hey kittens. Not much happening with me other than I’m a bit down with one thing and another but am still trying to keep this going

No. 29
This just isn’t going well so I officially started the “diet” last Monday. I have a new mini target – T10.5. My mission is to lose enough weight to be 10.5 stone which means losing more weigh than I’d have hoped actually. It wasn’t that long ago I weighed 10.5 stone. Anyhoo, first weigh in yesterday I lost 1 pound. Not great but then my weight lags a bit so I could have been facing a gain considering how much I had eaten up until last Monday!

At the risk of this turning into a false eyelash blog I have been playing about with them again and having some fun with these 99p ones from B&M. They aren’t the best quality and are a bit fiddly but not bad in times of recession!

No. 54
I withdrew my application for this. Circumstances mean it wasn’t practical and I needed the money for bills and got the refund just in time. Maybe next year?

The selling on eBay has went brilliantly.

I have sold:
4 – A blouse/2dresses/a pair of unworn shoes (already noted)
1 unworn Halloween wig
1 pair unworn jeans
4 pairs of tights
2 faulty phones
1 pair of unworn grey platform shoes
2 primark dresses (1 unworn)
2 men’s boots unworn
1 KG boots unworn
1 men’s shirt
1 DP dress unworn
1 pair men’s wedding socks unworn

Which has raised [drum rolllllllllllllllllll] over £500. Unfortunately bills have had to be paid with it and I haven’t been able to treat myself or anything but needs must and at least I’m a bit more free of the clutter!

Task done (and I will continue decluttering this way!)

I am a total false eyelash addict at the minute! I wore some on Boxing Night and New Years Eve. I love my NYE ones very, very much (Illamasqua rock my socks )

I tried a Chicken Tikka Chilli Masala – going from the usual 1 star on the hotness scale to 3. It was too much. Yummy but spicy. Too spicy.

I forgot about this one – I went to Manchester with friends to see a friend in November so can mark this one off – well 2 bits anyway!

We went to see Avatar in 3D on one of the preview nights. It was nowhere near as crap as expected and Sam Worthington is g.o.r.g.e.o.u.s.

Day 97 – Christmas is coming…

And JC is getting fat… This diet malarky is going terribly and doesn’t bode well for me feeling fabulous if/when I go out over the festive season. Today I am sitting at my desk starving with hunger. I’ve had a small innocent smoothie and a crunchie bar. I’m off to the cinema tonight where no doubt the temptation of more chocolatey goodness will be too much. I am doomed amn’t I?

I tried another new cocktail last week. A “blushing lady” I was myself considering how drunk it helped to get me.

We took niece and nephew to the Zoo last weekend to see Santa. It all went well though was pretty tiring! Pizza Hut for tea which was yum (this may be why No. 29 is going so badly…)

These days are going in so quickly I can hardly keep up! I’ve sent quite a few postcrossing cards now and am getting quite into it. I received a fantastic card the other day from a girl in Helsinki – she sent me a shoe themed card with a shoe stamp – how fab is that?!

The false eyelashes were in force again this weekend! I’m getting my fringe trimmed tomorrow so I can make the most of them I think!

Top tips
1. Look down at the mirror when fixing them
2. Put them over make up – no mascara on afterwards though maybe a little eyeliner to blend them in
3. Use tweezers to bad them bown onto your eyelid

I’m getting more used to my teeth and am definitely getting them out more as ’twere for photos. Hopefully I can avoid the cost of braces then!

I spent the weekend in Manchester which was lovely! I had a cocktail during my trip but can’t remember the name so can’t mark it off my task list really…

So in relation to No. 61 I tried four new cocktails on Friday night. I tried:

Basil Grande
A living classic – Chambord Black Raspberry Liqueur and Grand Marnier shaken with fresh strawberries, cranberry juice, fresh basil and black pepper

Long Vodka
A double shot of Ketel One Vodka combines sublimely with fresh lime, sugar syrup and lemonade in an Angostura rinsed glass to create this true classic

Lemon Tart
A gloriously crisp and refreshing drink combining Ketel One Citroen Vodka, Old Fashioned Bitters, fresh lemon and sugar

Ciroc Sling
A refreshingly long drink with Ciroc Super Premium Vodka, Cointreau, fresh ginger, Seville orange marmalade, pressed apple, sugar and lime

I met up with four internet weirdies on Friday, only one of whom I’d met very briefly a long time ago. We had a lovely meal and then went for drinks and I had a really great time and I might even be able to mark of part of No. 64
