The Original List

Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria:
Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on my part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past – frequently simple goals such as New Year’s resolutions. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organizing and timing some tasks such as overseas trips or outdoor activities.

My 1001 days started on Sunday 13th September 2009 and will finish on Sunday 10th June 2012

 
The list of the 101 things I intend to do over the next 1001 days -

The List
1. Make a list
2. Create a blog to follow my progress
3. Photograph my progress
4. Go out for a special meal to celebrate completing the list
5. Save £1 for each task completed
6. Donate £2 to charity for each task that is not completed

Just For Fun…
7. Build a sandcastle
8. Dress up in fancy dress in public
9. Spend a day at work with each nail painted a different colour
10. Get a piercing
11. Get a tattoo
12. Dye something I own and wear it
13. Ride a bike
14. Wear a bright red lipstick in public
15. Jump into a big puddle
16. Jump into a swimming pool
17. Paddle in the sea
18. Send a message in a bottle
19. Play a sport I have never played before
20. Go ice skating
21. Go on a theme park ride
22. Write a song lyric I like in the sand
23. Make a Christmas decoration
